My 11 year old son was diagnosed with diabetes on 01/05/09. Immediately I found the need to learn A LOT! I'm using this site to compile what I learn for my future reference and possibly to help other parents who find themselves in the same position.

Hands down the most helpful place I have found so far is the "Place for Parents" message board on the American Diabetes Association web site. A caring group of parents of Type 1 kids support one another with a wealth of combined knowledge.

There are other boards on the site as well which I'm guessing are equally helpful. I just haven't ventured onto them yet.
